Qualified First Aid Course – 1st Year, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
- Classes are held on designated days and times as specified by the Dean's Office in the class schedule.
- The course includes lectures, seminars, and practical exercises using training manikins.
- Lectures are available through an e-learning platform.
- During the first class, students will receive a Class Card. This card must be used to document attendance for each class separately and to confirm that the class has been successfully completed, as indicated by a teacher’s signature. Students must submit the completed Class Card to the secretariat of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy to receive course credit.
- Course credit can be obtained at the end of the session based on active participation, positive results from a written knowledge test, and satisfactory evaluations from various other assessment forms, which may include self-assessment and practical skills tests.
- To earn course credit, students are required to attend all classes and demonstrate at least a satisfactory understanding of first aid principles.
- Students are expected to behave courteously and adhere to hospital regulations. Coats and larger bags must be stored in the locker room.
- All students are required to comply with the regulations of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.
